1968.1.1英国女王嘉奖去年在中国受到侮辱的英国驻华外交官
1967年中共与英国发生激烈的外交冲突，多名英国驻华外交官受到中共煽动的民众侮辱。在英国女王1968年的新年嘉奖名单中，列入三名这样的外交官，分别是：原英国驻华代办Donald Hopson （52岁），原驻北京代办处无线电操作员Peter Talbot，原英国驻沪代表Peter McGeror Hewitt，其中Hopson被授予骑士爵位。
